The Spooks Blood

I think this book is amazing because the type of language used in the book is great.

I have chosen "The Spooks Blood" because this book is a mixture of fantasy and horror. This book has different creatures like Strigoi/Strigoica who are vampire gods and witches.
There is loads of magic involved in the book like witchcraft and dark magic. This book would be good for people who enjoy horror, so if you love horror then this is the one for you.

An Inspector Calls

Book Author: J. B. Priestley

Book type : Play

Star Rating: (out of 5) *****

Arthur Birling is an upper class factory owner. Set on wealth and prosperity for his family. Upon the night of his daughters engagement a stranger approaches his door. Unable to turn them away, family secrets start to unravel and soon everything is slipping out of control ...........

Not many people read plays anymore. I mean... well, some still do but it’s not as if when you walk into a library the majority of people are reading plays. Well, all plays deserve to be read. This one included.

It’s brilliant. Once you’ve read it you’ll see what I mean but what a great plot. The twists in it are absoloutely amazing. All the way through you can see the slow character degredation but you can understand them aswell. The writer has portrayed it in such a way that you feel as though they actually are real people. A real family in a real place. As I said it’s just great! And thats just when it’s read as a book. When you see it as a play... WOW! With the right actors and lines you can’t go wrong.

"Take the bloody shot"

Skyfall, the twenty third movie from a successful series of books, is looking good. Really good. But will Bond rise, or fall?

Click to go to the offical website
Daniel Craig plays the eponymous Bond, a Loyal MI6 employee, who gets shot. The man, who has evaded more bullets than someone from the East End of London, gets shot, in the mountainous regions of France and ‘dies’

Dame Judi Dench, that wonderful woman, is back to her role of the rather (un)mysterious M, who orders James’ death, by a mysterious sniper. The MI6 is blatantly mysterious. Then it blows up. Catastrophically!

Javier Bardem is the ‘baddie’ in this film, a Russian, middle aged man who slightly resembles Boris Johnson. He seems to know James Bond’s newfound hatred for M, and seems to use this to his advantage.
Then there’s all the action, and I have to say, this film looks pretty amazing. For all you people who crave Michael Bay’s Pyrotechnics, they’re as good as ever. Fights on top of trains; trains crashing through the subways of London; MI6 Exploding and Blonde Russians threatening secret agents for world domination. And of course, an integral part of any Spy Film, all the sexy women. It’s going to be a thriller, and I’m not talking about the Michael Jackson song.

Skyfall is released on the 26th October 2012, and I’d say, give it a watch, it’s going to be a good 2 hours.

The Average Child

Should we be happy with being average, not bad but not too good. Or should we always strive to be better, reach our potential ?

I don't cause teacher trouble;
My grades have all okay.
Ilisten in my class.
I'm in school every day.

My teachers think I'm average;
My parents think so too.
I wish I didn't know that though;
There's lots I'd like to do.

I'd like to build a rocket;
I read a book on how.
Or start a stamp collection....
But no use trying now.

'Cause, Since I found I'm average,
I'm smart enough you see
To know there's nothing special
I should expect from me.

I'm part of that majority,
This hump part of the bell,
Who spends his time unnoticed
In an average kind of hell.

As I Walk Through the Graves

Our soldiers, fought and fell,
Trying to save is from the grasp of hell.
Battle cries and gunshot blows,
And yet our soldiers hope still flows.
More and more sign up to die,
Bravely keeping their head held high,
And as I walk through these graves,
I cry for they were slaves,
Of this endless war,
Full of pain, grief and more.
We cannot begin to understand,
And yet some still demand,
That our soldiers fight and fall.

Give Yourself a Hug

We are now 6 weeks into the term and I'm sure we have all been working very hard so It's time to give yourself a little hug, you deserve it.

Give your self a little hug,
When you fell unloved,
Give yourself a hug,
When people put on airs to make you feel a bug.

Give yourself a hug,
When everyone seems to give you a cold shoulder shrug.

Give yourself a hug,
A big, big hug,
And keep on Singing...
Only one in a million like me,
Only one in a Million-Billion-Thrillion-Zillion like me.
